This book has many great explanations about how the Java works
By Angel Jacob
This book has many great explanations about how the Java works. There're explanations along with every syntax which make it easier to understand what this or these do. It is useful both for programmers who are learning Java or even for non-programmers starting with their first language. The object-oriented elements of Java, general OO concepts are explained exceptionally well. I read this book from cover to cover to brush up on my rusty Java. Highly Recommend for newbies!

Head First Java Programming is an excellent way to learn Java
Head First Java Programming is an excellent way to learn Java.I purchased a few other books on Java and have found this one to be the best by far. Unlike most texts on Java, it actually goes through and teaches the subject rather than just serving as a reference material. Another great feature of this book is that it does not assume you already know C++ like most other Java books I purchased and subsequently put down after reading a few chapters. This is a great book if you are new to object oriented programming and would like to learn Java without having to first learn C++ and/or object oriented programming principles as a prerequisite.

Nearly all of the information that I will need to successfully begin programming my own computer code using Java.
This is an excellent guide to basic Java Programming for beginners. I was pretty impressed with the attention to detail, and the amount valuable reference material. The information is well-written and the author has explained things in a way that beginners like me can understand and apply practically. I will be referencing this a lot in the future! I appreciate that there is a comprehensive history of computer programming and that there are comparisons between Java and C++ programming language for Windows. Overall, really glad I picked this one up. It has nearly all of the information that I will need to successfully begin programming my own computer code using Java.
