Product Description

Have you ever wondered how Facebook is able to automatically display your Instagram photos? How about how Evernote syncs notes between your computer and smartphone? If so, then it’s time to get excited!

In this book, we walk you through what it takes for companies to link their systems together. We start off easy, defining some of the tech lingo you may have heard before, but didn’t fully understand. From there, each lesson introduces something new, slowly building up to the point where you are confident about what an API is and, for the brave, could actually take a stab at using one.

5Good intro to APIs but ultimately a plug for Zapier
By Davey-Z
It's a good base if you know nothing about APIs but falls short when it comes to actually building/running an API because it is written as a plug for Zapier. That's fine, but if you want to become a developer of APIs, you need to keep researching.

4Good for beginners
By Tuxerito
Good book with basic concepts about APIs, you will learn what is an API, how to create and use one but just as theory no in a specific language so after you end the book you will need to search how to implement in a real language.

5A short but amazing intro to APIs
By Alice
You would not master APIs with this one book. But it surely helps you grasp the basics. And for such a short book, it covers quite a lot.
