Product Description

Have you ever wondered how Facebook is able to automatically display your Instagram photos? How about how Evernote syncs notes between your computer and smartphone? If so, then it’s time to get excited!

In this book, we walk you through what it takes for companies to link their systems together. We start off easy, defining some of the tech lingo you may have heard before, but didn’t fully understand. From there, each lesson introduces something new, slowly building up to the point where you are confident about what an API is and, for the brave, could actually take a stab at using one.

5Great introduction to APIs
By Kindle Customer
I learned everything I needed to know to implement APIs on my ecommerce platform. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a solid overview of how APIs are built and implemented, as well as quite a bit of detail on how the client/server communication works.

4Good intro but needs more depth
By Michael S. Wilk
As a developer I was seeking a quick overview. However, I would have really liked to see a little more technical depth in context. For example, naming specific tools and/or frameworks would have been useful. Worth the quick read to cover the basics at a high level.
